Grads – Watch for Important information being sent home to families soon regarding Commencement Ceremonies – Graduation at UVIC on June 11th, 2023

On Saturday, Feb. 11, Belmont’s choir hosted 7 choirs from around the South Island and Burnaby. We opened the day with drumming and the singing of the Women’s Warrior Song, under the guidance of Elder Chipps and mentor Alana Johnson. Dividing into 2 large groups, students from a mix of all schools rehearsed together with guest clinicians before performing for each other. The afternoon was spent as an enthusiastic audience, celebrating the work of each choir. It was wonderful to be back together for the first time since the pandemic began.

Have you purchased a 2022-2023 Yearbook yet? Limited quantities left, See info below to get yours today! You can also go onto School Cash Online to purchase now.

Library/Resource Materials Owing – We respectfully ask that your student returns all overdue resources to the Learning Commons by June 23rd. If your student has resource materials owing (including textbooks, library books, etc), they must return the items, or pay for the materials prior to a yearbook being issued at the end of the year. Reminders have gone out throughout the year to prompt students to return materials. Students who are unsure what they owe, or are unsure how to pay can see Mrs. Baas in the Learning Commons

Do you have board games or puzzles that are collecting dust? We are looking for suitable board games (that could be played within a single lunch hour – for example: Uno, Chess, Anomia, Apples to Apples) and appropriate puzzles (500-1000 pieces) to add to our newly developing collection in the Library Learning Commons. If you have any that you are willing to donate, please drop them off in the office, or bring them to Mrs. Baas (sbaas@sd62.bc.ca) in the Library Learning Commons.

Belmont’s Theatre Company is proud to present “Once Upon a Mattress”
