Library/Material returns
We respectfully ask that your student returns all overdue resources to the Learning Commons by Friday January 23rd. If your student has resource materials owing from previous semesters (including textbooks, library books, etc), they must return the items, or pay for the materials prior to getting any materials for semester 2. Reminders have gone out throughout the first semester to prompt students to return materials. Students who are unsure what they owe, or are unsure how to pay can see Mrs. Baas in the Learning Commons.

Dry Grad
Dear Belmont Grad Parents and Caregivers,
Belmont Secondary will be hosting our annual Dry Grad celebration on May 23, 2026 for the graduating Class of 2026. This event is entirely planned and hosted by parent volunteers and provides our 490+ grads with a fun, safe, and alcohol- and drug-free way to celebrate together. Activities include an inflatable obstacle course, photo booth, entertainment, BBQ, and more.
To help make this event a success, we are reaching out to our parent community for support in two ways:
1. Business sponsors and donations
If you own a business or have a connection to a local business that may be willing to donate a prize, gift card, or make a monetary contribution, we would be very grateful if you could connect us or pass along our sponsorship letter (attached).
2. Gift card donations
If you happen to have unused or partially used gift cards left over from Christmas, we would happily put them to good use. Our goal is to have a prize or gift card for every graduate attending Dry Grad, and gift cards of any denomination are greatly appreciated.
Donations over $25 qualify for a tax receipt, and we are pleased to promote supporting businesses at the event.
If you are able to help in any way or have questions, please contact us at BelmontDryGrad@gmail.com by April 30, 2026, and we will arrange pickup or next steps.
Thank you for supporting our graduates and helping make Dry Grad a memorable experience for the Class of 2026.
Sincerely,
David Light
Chair, Belmont Dry Grad Committee
