Belmont Music Department Winter concert

Seasons Greetings from The Belmont Music Department! – November 2025

The Belmont Music Department has had a busy and exciting fall! We kicked things off with our Meet the BMD barbecue and completed two fundraisers thus far: our Bottle Drive, and Purdy’s Chocolate Sale!

Our choir has had a fulfilling month with performances at the Remembrance Day Assembly, Comox Music Festival, and a special sequel premiere of a Haida choral work composed once again by a Belmont alumnus. This event at UVic’s Farquhar Auditorium gave our singers a chance to collaborate with choirs from across the Island and was a truly meaningful experience.

At Belmont, our drumline had their time to shine in our annual Belmont Night Live show and  the school’s Fall Pep Rally alongside the R&B Band! We also welcomed student teacher Ms. Bell, whose encouragement and dedication has made a wonderful impact!

Our Choir, Junior Band and Senior Band got a wonderful opportunity to participate in the Comox Music Festival, held up-island in Courtnay. Our Senior Band had their debut performance and both ensembles received amazing and insightful feedback during a fun and interactive clinic!

After months of hard work and dedication, our ensembles are excited to put on a great show for you all. We hope to see you at our annual Winter Concert on Thursday, December 11th at 7:00 pm in the Belmont Theatre (doors open at 6:30 pm). Admission is by cash donation.

Warm holiday wishes from the BMD!
