Dual Credit Anatomy and Physiology Students Explore Genetics Through Fruit Fly Lab
Our Dual Credit Anatomy and Physiology 12 students, enrolled in Camosun College Physiology 126, recently took part in a fascinating laboratory investigation analyzing eye pigment in fruit flies (Drosophila). The lab focused on how mutations in specific proteins can alter pigment production pathways—giving students a hands-on look at genetics and molecular biology in action. Check out the photos of our budding scientists at work!
