Grad 2005 Blood Drive – June 9
Our amazing Grads are doing a blood drive and inviting the community to join them in making a difference! Download the Canadian Blood Services app and come to the YMCA on June 9 to donate!
Dry Grad was held this past Saturday and the feedback from more than 200 students who attended was amazing. The event was fully supported by the community through our 50/50 draw, nearly 40 sponsors and 40+ parent volunteers who helped make sure everything ran smoothly. The school was transformed into a full-blown party with fantastic food, fun and games in the gym, paintball and caricatures. To top it all off, professional magician and Belmont alum Jason Verners put on a show that dazzled and amazed everyone there. Here are some photos from the event and thanks again to our great sponsors!

Library/Resource Materials Owing
We respectfully ask that your student returns all overdue resources to the Learning Commons by Friday, June 20th. If your student has resource materials owing from previous semesters (including textbooks, library books, etc), they must return the items, or pay for the materials prior to a yearbook being issued at the end of the year. Reminders have gone out throughout the year to prompt students to return materials. Students who are unsure what they owe, or are unsure how to pay can see Mrs. Baas in the Learning Commons.

Bulletin from the BMD – June 2025
What an incredible year it’s been for Belmont’s Music Department! From concerts to collaborations to community parades, we’ve filled this school year with music, connection, and unforgettable memories.
We kicked things off in January with our Middle School Meet-Up, where students from Centre Mountain Lellum Middle school joined our Grade 9s for music, games, and fun! The day ended with a special performance by our Senior Band, a great way to welcome future musicians into the Belmont community.
February brought the annual Choral Collaboration on February 10, where our choir joined voices with students from across Victoria and even Vancouver. Sharing the stage with so many talented singers was an inspiring and rewarding experience for everyone involved.
In April, our music students went on our Vancouver Tour! Over four days, we performed at three different elementary schools, building connections, gaining performance experience, and having a blast exploring the city.
On May 3, Belmont choir students participated in the Kaleidoscope Festival, showcasing their hard work and talent alongside other high school ensembles. Our Marching Band brought great energy and spirit to both the Buccaneer Days Parade in Esquimalt (May 10) and the Victoria Day Parade downtown (May 19), proudly representing Belmont in the community.
However we’re not quite done yet! Join us for our Evening of Jazz on May 22, where our jazz combos and R&B bands will bring the groove. And mark your calendars for our Year-End Concert on Wednesday, June 5 at 7:00 PM in the Belmont Learning Commons. Doors will open at 6:30 PM and admission is by cash donation, we’d love to see you there!
Thank you to every student, parent, teacher, and supporter who helped make this year so memorable. Your energy and passion keep Belmont music strong.
